”We stayed in a Chalet at Solway holiday park, I was pleasantly surprised how modernised and spacious the chalets were, was a lovely home for the weekend, we had a hot tub which didn’t seem to have any chemicals in to keep the water clean so by day 3, the water was green but the kids loved it until then. ”Initial impressions weren’t good-outside the caravan was scruffy with an old dog lead lying around and uncut grass around the door. However the caravan itself was clean and very comfortable. There was a smell of gas outside as well from the canisters but we contacted the owner who very promptly got someone to sort the problem. The caravan also needs a plug in the kitchen sink and a new light in the shower room. Overall I would say the caravan is comfy but needs some TLC.”

”When we arrived our original accommodation was no longer available due to essential work going on. Hotel upgraded us to a de luxe room with lake view, and gave us 7 days of full English breakfasts, all at no extra charge. Excellent staff! Friendly and approachable. Made every effort to turn situation round. ”

”Spent a week there with family and dogs. Very clean and everything you could need The views are beautiful. One thing to note, if you take a dog make sure you have long leads and a torch, as nowhere enclosed to let them off before bed or first thing. Both bathrooms are en-suite as well as opening to the corridor which was a peek we didn’t expect. The perfect place for a relaxing family trip and highly recommend. ”
