”Everything was v clean. We stayed in the Wotter Room on the second floor. Yes it could all do with a bit of a paint in patches but the room is charming and huge. The view was amazing - we could see the fireworks in Plymouth the first night that we stayed. Had a fab Nepalese curry on Wednesday followed by an Indian pudding which was delicious. Steak on the second night. The hotel is on the edge of Dartmoor but close enough to the local tourist attractions. We will definitely return. ”

”I booked 2 rooms , 1 of them for my 17 yr old granddaughter, i did ask if we could have rooms close , but 1 was on the top one was on the ground floor , when we walked into my granddaughters it smelt wonderful and was nice and clean , but when we went up to ours it smelt of stale cigarettes, was awful i opened both windows , the shower made such a awful noisy, the quilts were made for summer so we all were so very cold , i was very disappointed, was ok for the one night , if we were staying...

”Beautifully set near the river and canal. 40 minutes walk to the Gloucester quays through some lovely riverside countryside. Room spacious and spotless. Staff friendly, courteous and helpful. Meals were excellent! ”

”Was a very straightforward, smooth check-in & the single room was spacious, superbly furnished & maintained. Great location within walking distance to everything you might be looking for. James and Marie are very kind and the inclusive breakfast was more than welcome after days on the road. Would recommend this accomodation to anybody visiting Plymouth. ”

”Room was ok if a bit warm but the shared bathroom was very off putting. I knew it would be a shared bathroom but the reality was a very small pokey room that was a struggle to change in to have a shower etc. Views out the bedroom window were fab and the food was good”

”Ive spent the passed near on 3 weeks staying here and i have had a great stay. Great staff ,very friendly and welcoming. The food is lovely and on point. The rooms are cleaned everyday along with clean towels and bedding and refills of tea, coffee every day. I will be retunng next week to stay again... highly recommended 👌 ”
