I stayed here in 2019 and it was great, but it seems to have worsened since. The bathroom and bed sheets were clean, but many areas hadn't been dusted properly and there were numerous stains on the walls and floors, including ones that could easily be cleaned with a damp cloth.
The air conditioning unit was very loud, made noises at random even when turned off, took ages to warm up, and smelled. There is also a ventilation fan in the ceiling which can't be turned off and produces permanent white noise.
For those irritated by light at night, the light switch for the bathroom faces the bed and has a bright green LED that lights up when it's switched off, which is strong enough to read with. It can easily be covered, but it shows a lack of thought in design.
Soundproofing is poor. The beds are placed right up to the connecting wall, and when the wall is accidentally hit it's like the other guest is there in the room with you.
Staff were all great and check in and out went smoothly. The location is perfect for access to shopping and within walking distance of Hiroshima Station, plus is on the tram line to there and major tourist spots.
