”The smoke detector was not in working order. Only part of it was on the wall with wires hanging out of it. The pool was closed for what reason I don't know. Disappointing as we were planning to swim while we were there. It was quite noisy there. You could hear people outside the room talking at all hours and clomping down the outside stairwell. ”My husband and I stayed here recently for a USA Hockey weekend event at the Rinks at Exeter. This hotel was perfect. It is located 5 minutes from the Rinks, and it is a 10min walk to a very cute downtown area with multiple coffee shops and breweries/restaurants. We did not spend an excessive amount of time in the hotel, but it was peaceful and clean. It is an old hotel, but has been kept up nicely. ”I like staying here. Yes, it's an older property and a bit worn. The price reflects that though. The other near by properties are much higher in price but it's hit and miss on cleanliness and quietness. But here at the Anchorage it's clean. It's quiet. The staff has always greeted me with a smile and are helpful. Whenever I have to come back here for meetings I will stay at the Rochester Anchorage.”
