”We expected a bit more of this hotel. The staff was not very friendly and not flexible at all. They were very strict about not giving the room us before 3pm and not showing any empathy for us who had been awake 24 hours after a flight. The parking was also very expensive, 28$ per night. The location was good and the housekeeping did their job well. However the room was quite outdated and in a need of a proper facelift.”

”Excellent beach for a morning (or afternoon, or evening) ocean swims with plenty of seating options for hotel guests. Towel service was very handy, bikes convenient for short jaunts into Kapa’a, lawn games fun for the family, and poolside amenities very tidy. We loved the 70’s vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very clean and well organized and evening phosphorescence a huge bonus. Was also a great location for visiting the south or north shore without taking up too much driving time....

”The whole experience at the resort was beautiful. Very cultural. We stayed in 142 and you can just walk out from your room/porch and you're already at the beach, pool or restaurant. Yes there is some construction going on but I was already aware of it so it didnt bother me, plus we were too busy at the beach or pool. They did a farewell ceremony for us which made it personal and touching. I did think they would have it every hour in the morning for all the guests but found out I had to let...

”The location was great and the cafe downstairs was very good for breakfast. However, we didn’t get the room (with 2 beds) that we booked and paid for for the first night as we arrived later in the evening. Had to change rooms in the following morning with quite a lot of hassle and the staff didn’t quite do what they promised upon arrival. Also, we had couple of very big cockroaches in our bathroom that we ended up killing ourselves, which wasn’t nice. Hotel only cleans rooms every 5 days so that...
