”Just come home from using this property as a pit stop on my trip. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Took care of my needs when i explained. My room had all i needed. The bed was so comfty. I didn't want to get up. Breakfast was lovely too. Nice shirt walk to town. Perfect. Only one little thing i would say, which can be amended. Is cold draft coming from under the door. So maybe a draft cushion or a flap fitted to bottom of the door to stop all the warmth getting out and cold coming in....

”Very nice lady who looked after us very well, lovely pub , room was good apart from being to hot for my liking luckily two huge windows we could open for some cool air , bed was huge and comfortable, shower was ace , breakfast was great , only small gripe I would have is the pub only stays open to 10pm ”

”What a beautiful unique place hidden in the North Yorkshire countryside. Run by a lovely lady called Ginny who was so welcoming. She explained everything about the room, facilities and local walks. Loved the honesty shop. Had a great number of things to choose from, from hiking essentials (for sore feet!), to fresh eggs and pies. The room was perfect and very unique. So cosy that we fell asleep on the sofa! Loved waking up to the sound of the sheep, goats and geese. Would highly recommend a...

”This is the third time I have stayed at the Ripon Inn this year. The renovation and decoration are excellent. The standard of the public spaces and bedrooms are superb. Breakfast is also excellent. A couple of grumbles, some of the staff need to be smarter and friendly. Also the best offers (inclusion of dinner vouchers included within the price), are straight from their own website, hotels.com don’t match them. ”

”This was our third time staying at The Green Dragon on our way up to Scotland. It’s five minutes from the A1 in a characterful market town. Landlord and staff very friendly and helpful. Room had everything we needed. Bed very comfy and good quality linens. Spacious, well laid out ensuite. We ate in the bar. Good range of beers, lovely home- cooked food which was good value. Breakfast was excellent too. We will be staying again!”

”The hotel was in a good position for Ripon’s attractions ie the cathedral and the old town with its cafes and eating facilities. The rooms were fresh looking and away from the pub in a separate stable block and were self contained but as the property had just been taken over and the pub itself was being refurbished I can’t comment on the food etc .”
