”Hotel is in a beautiful area and location. It has a lovely pool which unfortunately we didn’t have time to use as we were spending time with family living locally. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite. It was very spacious and really nice but needs a little TLC in the bathroom with a jacuzzi and the curtain hooks need attention. All things that can be easily addressed. We had dinner on one evening and it was delicious and well presented. Breakfast was okay but do not like having to order...

”We love this place. Have been there 3 times with our dogs. Walking them is so easy there is a large green area just outside or a walkway around the estate, just what you need early morning and bedtime. The staff are great they are professional courteous and friendly. Emma the manageress is a joy and works really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The chef also needs a shout also, the meals are top class. ”

”Lovely quiet location with easy parking. Although obviously an old building, the communal areas are reasonably updated. The staff I thought were without exception very nice and service-conscious. ”During our round trip in Northern England and Scotland we stayed two nights in Keswick. We made a walk to the beautiful Catbells as well as visited the Castlerigg Stone Circle. The hotel was mostly ok for our purpose. However the shower practically did not work. It gave water which was either very cold or burning hot. Our flat was Chiamara. ”The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff.”
