”It was a good place to stay. Great location. Well furnished, with nice beds and a high pressure shower. However there was no firewood, and the fire pit outside was not there if I’m being picky. Overall perfect for families and much better than staying at a motel!”

”The house was great for our family of 6 adults with 4 bedrooms. Plenty of games and books provided. It is 'rustic', bathrooms are basic and the paintwork a bit patchy, but plenty of cookware provided and washing machine and dryer, as well as a fireplace.”

”We loved the warm family atmosphere and country cottage vibe including the green grass and big maple tree (and swing). Enjoyed the late summer light on the back verandah, and a wonderful roast dinner with the family after a beautiful walk at nearby Tongariro. Warm fireside chats late into the night and then up early the next day for a longer hike. Fantastic base for enjoying the delights of Tongariro National Park.”

”I stayed there for about a week. We were able to spend a quiet and relaxing time in the midst of nature, surrounded by healthy animals such as sheep and chickens. The house is handmade, so sometimes there is a creaking sound of wood, but once you get used to it, it is comfortable. There was a time during our stay when the wifi did not connect, but the owner fixed it. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to spend time in nature. ”

”A friend and I stayed here for a ski trip and really enjoyed it. It's a great location, a very short drive from the town centre with view to the mountains on a good day. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a full day of skiing and the games room is a nice touch. ”
