”Loved our honeymoon stay here! Perfect home base for a week of exploring the area. Loved the pool and especially loved the amazing generous and delicious free breakfast every morning! The only issue we had were tiny ants in our room that made a few surfaces unusable, and we had to be very cautious not to prepare food in the room. But we understand that’s normal in the jungle so we weren’t bothered. ”

”The hotel reception staff was very friendly & helpful. The grounds are beautifully planted and well-maintained - lots of birds! Breakfast was substantial with good choices. Room was clean and spacious. For those driving, there’s ample parking. The trail in back is fine, but a bit overgrown & insect repellent is required, but nice walk.”

”It was just extremely dated it looked like the Flintstones designed and decorated it. The pool could be nicer and better tbh, however the view was incredible!! I also believe they can have a nicer and indoor breakfast area; especially because it rains a lot and it was wet and out in the open. ”

”Excellent hotel with excellent service. Hot springs area was amazing and much bigger than expected. We visited here in low season (May) and there were zero crowds in the hotel nor hot springs. If you go to this hotel, make sure you enjoy the hot springs at night time as well. ”

”We enjoyed our stay and thought that the rooms were quaint and cute. The weather, however, was cooler in La Fortuna than expected. Add in the rain and that added to the temperature feeling even colder. Because of that the rooms got pretty cool and without having any sort of heat to turn on, that made our accommodations not as comfortable as we would've liked. ”

”Really beautiful and peaceful resort! The hotel has its own hot springs, and also an outside jacuzzi. The amenities of the room were great, for example the insect repellent cream was very useful. The resort area was well kept, and all kind of animals were walking around. Besides for families, this hotel was an excellent choice also for a solo traveller looking for tranquility.”

We had our floor filled with hundreds of flying bugs that would come from the cracks of the wooden walls into the room at night. So much so that the room floor needed to be cleaned twice or thrice a day to take those dead bugs away into the garbage. The staff tried to take care of it but it did not work.
