”The resort hot springs and swimming pools were awesome! We loved the swim-up bar and the staff was very helpful. We were glad to have a rental car since the resorts amenities are very spread out. We loved being able to drive up to see the volcano at the look out point. We would stay here again.”

The jungle helps with any noise from other rooms. Highly recommend the night walk, especially for kids. The Puma trail offers a bit of nature if you slow down and look. There are other tours available also. Go with a guide, they will point out thing you will miss.”

”La mansion is in a beautiful location, and has nice views of the lake. The swimming pool and hot tub (more of a warm-tub) were great. I also loved our bright yellow room with crazy tiles thoughout the bathroom. The restaurant was ok. I would recommend eating at one of the local sodas instead. Overall, a great spot if you have a car to explore the area(Including La Fortuna)”

”Excellent hotel with excellent service. Hot springs area was amazing and much bigger than expected. We visited here in low season (May) and there were zero crowds in the hotel nor hot springs. If you go to this hotel, make sure you enjoy the hot springs at night time as well. ”

”The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again.”
