I was all prepared for the apartment to be smaller than pictured, but it's actually much bigger, bright and airy. We brought a camp bed in case we needed it, but there were two double beds, a spare mattress with plenty of space to lay it out, and the corner sofa would easily sleep two tall adults. The floors are really solid, we never heard anyone below or next door. The beds were really comfortable (quite firm, which is how I like it, but if you prefer soft you might want to bring a topper). The space is beautifully laid out and the decor is fab. Everything was spotless and of really good quality. The kitchen area had everything we needed, including a coffee maker, and basics like oil, salt and pepper. There is a dishwasher but no washing machine. The views from the apartment are gorgeous, with the Alps in the distance, and the apartment is a very pleasant 10 minute walk from Künstlerhaus Gasteiger, where there is a beach and the Ammersee is lovely for swimming in. Travel into Munich is really easy, using the S-Bahn from Türkenfeld (free parking). Nicki, the host, is very helpful and speaks excellent English. She was really understanding of us arriving very late. There are Edeka and Aldi supermarkets within a 10 minute drive, and an excellent bakery in Utting. Heads up - the apartment is right next to a church, and the bells are rung every morning at 6.30am. I found it quite a pleasant sound and my kids slept right through it, but I guess some might be bothered by it.
