”The area was gorgeous and the view could not be beat. We made fresh orange juice and lemonade from the citrus trees, walked in the vineyard and cork forest, and enjoyed the quiet. The downside was the drive- it was a bit far from town and needs to be driven in daylight- do not attempt at night (single lane, tight curves, no guardrails, very rural). The house was spacious but could use some upgrades.”

”The tour around the town is really interesting, if you get the opportunity to do the private tour I’d highly recommend it, we even went into backyards to check on the almonds drying, and picked figs off the tree to eat. So relaxing and quiet. Dinner and breakfast in the Restaurant was delicious and the service brilliant, The apartment has subdued lighting which fits with the room but might not be enough for everyone, we would stay here again if in the area.”

”We could not have been happier with the experience! We were traveling with a large family (9 of us total, all adults), and there was plenty of space. The views were beautiful, and the house was clean and well kept. They had a chef make us dinner one night, which was a very special experience. I will note that the house is up a steep, narrow road and so large vans could be a challenge. Overall, it was one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had.”

”We were seven adults who thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay. The home is spacious, the beds comfortable and the rooms were all very clean and welcoming. We did not use the pool (thought it was crystal clear), as it was a bit cool in early October... and we were always out during the day exploring the Douro Valley. ”I would have given it 10 out of 10 if it wasn't the lack of hot water during my husband shower when it was 2 degrees outside. He had to get out wet and have a shower in another apartment as there was no one to fix the issue at the time. The dinner and breakfast were amazing and the service from the waiter as well. It is a beautiful Quinta with great views. The bed and bedsheets were really nice and the apartments are great for people staying longer as you have the ability to cook your own...

"First of all big thanks to Tony, Marco and Ana. Although the Casa itself is excellent, you 3 make it so much more :) Your hospitality and personal service made us feel like part of your family. Everything just works. Great room, awesome views, nice breakfast and delicious dinner with local wines. If your staying here, please also check their tours. We took the 1 day Douro tour and it was beautiful."
