”We booked this property to celebrate my wife's birthday. We are local to the area and just wanted somewhere to get out of the house and somewhere we could walk to some of our favorite restaurants downtown Beaufort. This property checked all of the boxes. The historic house has been updated but kept the charm of a historic house. The house is clean and inviting. Our little boys love lighthouses so we were able to drive to Currituck, Bodie Island and Hatteras. The house is very family friendly especially for mixed ages. Our teenage daughter had plenty of her own space and our boys loved the fenced in yard. ”We've stayed at this property before, and it's been great both times. The only challenge this time is we had great difficulty with the code to enter the property and also to lock it. After the fourth or fifth try, the door would magically unlock, but then we couldn't get it to lock when we were leaving! We finally were able to speak with someone at Vacasa and they reset the code from their end. Thankfully we had no further problems.”

”Love love loved this place it was a great get away, the kids loved every minute of it and saw horses almost everyday even a baby one! Caught some fish from the dock and made lasting memories! Loved driving on the beach and not having to haul everything to it by hand! Would def recommend this for someone who doesn’t like the crowds and loves a real getaway to nature and beach! Kids can’t wait to go back!”

”We were just here for a little weekend get-away before Christmas. The house is as advertised. It feels like staying at your friends well-loved beach house. The view is beautiful, you are close to everything and there is plenty of room for kids (and the dog) to relax. While it has almost everything, there wasn’t a microwave, which was a bit of a surprise. The sandspurs are abundant, so shows outdoors are a must. We would definitely stay here again. ”
