”Nice, big family room, the only drawback is the constant banging of what must be the toilet doors below the room. Maybe some sort of padding on the door frame would be a help. Also, the bathroom windows could be better cleaned. That all said, we would stay there again. ”

”My two night stay gave me a very comfortable room, with a well equipped ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was self service, with hot food being ordered at the bar. Staff were very attentive during my stay and I would definitely recommend staying here.”

”Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation.”

”Lovely country pub in good location for local tourist sites with friendly and attentive staff. Stayed for one night whilst visiting Beamish Living Museum, nice room, friendly bar downstairs and full cooked breakfast available in the morning. Will be happy to return and would recommend to others.”
