”Picked the place for price level, I was the only customer that night. so obviously it was very nice and quiet. good stay for sure. only issue was eating, so you must drive some 10 km to nearest restaurant or gas station . very nice "icelandic" views!!”

”We have a lovely one night stay at Skalakot. It’s very charming, simple hotel in beautiful surroundings. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The spa was small but nice, gets quite cramped if there are more than 4 people in there. I think it would benefit from an outdoor hot tub. Dinner was nice, breakfast was ok. ”

”great little house to relax in on the island. 15 min walk to the downtown so we can wander around to play, do some museums, eat different food, etc. very quiet and low key so we didn't have to worry about late night noise, allowing us to rest up well. amenities were nice and the room was comfortable. cozy little kitchen let us get ready for the day”

”Quaint little guesthouse! The stairs are very narrow so moving luggage is a bit difficult but the location is great. We stayed 2 nights and the radiator in the bedroom wasn’t working but the property managers left a couple of beers for us knowing that they are still renovating and it was warm enough with just the one radiator. Would stay again! ”

”Good points. The host communicated well prior to our arrival .he met us promptly and was very pleasant and helpful .bed was comfortable enough. Bad points.the house was very dilapidated, in very bad condition externally which gives a bad first impression .lots of flies around. Room very stark, nothing cosy. Shared bathroom not in good state of repair, pedal bin in bathroom full to the brim with sanitary towels, clearly not emptied in quite a number of days. Very overpriced .”

”The Westman Islends are an amazing area and a must do in Iceland. The hotel exceeded our expectations and the manager was unbelievably helpful. Only 2 disadvantaged that would not stop me from returning. Although the beds are very comfortable there is barely enough space to get out of bed:) and that could be a problem for heavier people especially when using the bathroom at night. The second issue is that they do not offer complimentary coffe and sugar in the room . We had our own coffee but...
