Into the Woods is a stylish, one bedroom couple's cottage on a lush 6.5 acres property in Palmwoods. Originally a pineapple farm owned by a buddhist, you can truly experience peace and quiet at this special place. 10 minutes drive from Montville and 25 minutes from Maleny. Fire up the pizza oven for home made pizzas, soak in the hand made outdoor bath tub or enjoy the abundant bird life. Includes free wifi, quality linen, firewood and Nespresso coffee. Escape the ordinary, create new memories.
The space
Into the Woods has all the comforts you need for your countryside escape. Roast marshmallows by the outdoor fire pit, make your own wood fired pizzas or drink a wine at sunset overlooking the dam and stables.

The cottage has a full fledged kitchen (no microwave or oven) including a Nespresso machine for your daily coffee fix. We will offer a starter pack for breakfast which includes tea, Nespresso cups, small milk, local honey, butter, eggs, sugar, and a seasonal treat. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we will accommodate this. We offer a gas cooktop, outdoor wood fire pizza oven and gas Weber BBQ. We provide all the necessary equipment to make your own home-made pizzas with the exception of the firewood.

The living area includes a linen sofa, which is perfect to relax on. You can access Netflix through the Smart TV, play some music through the portable Mooni speaker or read a book. We offer a four person dining table where you can also play games or do some work if needed.

The bedroom has a comfortable four poster canopy bed with crisp linen and lush garden views. The bedroom has a fan to keep cool during the warmer months. An additional duvet is also offered during the cooler months if required. The bedroom connects to the bathroom which includes a full size mirror, river stone basin and shower.

Two outdoor seating areas are exclusively available for our guests. One of the outdoor seating areas includes a fireplace, adirondack lounge chairs and a hand-made outdoor bath tub. The outdoor bath tub includes both hot and cold water for all seasons and comfortably fits two people. The other outdoor seating area overlooks the dam and includes a wood-fired pizza oven and gas Weber BBQ. Make sure you look up at night as the sky is often covered in stars!

We offer a package of firewood which includes a lighter, firelighters, marshmallows, marshmallow forks and firewood. If you would like more firewood during your stay, you can purchase this at $20 per bag.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the cottage and its surroundings. You are free to roam the 6.5 acres (with the exception of our own house), the majority of which is natural bush. The surroundings include stables and a dam.
Other things to note
- Whilst you will have complete privacy during your stay, we do live next door in a separate dwelling.
- We have a dog who loves attention. We will keep him on a leash if you're not a fan of dogs.
- The cottage is in natural surroundings and you may encounter insects or reptiles (such as spiders and snakes). We have installed a snake repeller near the dam but we do recommend wearing enclosed shoes when walking around the property.
- From time to time you may be disturbed by mosquitos, we provide repellent products.
- There is the sound of distant cars and motorbikes at times amongst lots of birds chirping and frogs calling.
- We provide supplies for an outdoor fire (firewood, firestarter, lighter, marshmallows and marshmallow forks). If you would like more firewood during your stay, you may purchase a bag from us for $20.
- We have a septic system so we ask guests to be mindful of the products they use.
- Good mobile reception is offered through Telstra, other network providers are not as reliable in the countryside. We offer free wifi during your stay.
- No children are allowed as we have a dam on the property. However, if you have a newborn (up to 1 year old), we are happy to accommodate. We will require you to bring all the necessary baby items (e.g. crib, baby blanket etc.).
