”A great tiny cottage on a working farm. There are 6 cottages available each with a small private deck. We could go out at various hours to watch the northern lights without disturbing others. There is no TV but we had wifi and the amazing scenery to keep us occupied. The owner was helpful and breakfast great. Dinner is provided if requested in advance. Highly recommend. Cozy is the best word to describe it.”

”We are a group of five friends who planned this trip almost two years ago. We had to pick off season due to our schedules. The weather/wind in Iceland was the worst it has been in 10 years, and we briefly lost power. Our host brought us a generator, coffee, pastries, and kept us updated every step. They checked in on us often and responded immediately to any questions or concerns. They have a very detailed book on property with instructions for everything. The house is amazing and stayed warm...

”Life on a horse farm, with beautiful Icelandic show horses, was terrific. Fully appointed kitchen and outdoor grill meant we could cook up a storm and grill some tender lamb for dinner. The owners were welcoming and the horses were gentle and beautiful. Location was perfect for the Gerduberg basalt cliffs and the gorgeous coastal hike from Arnastapi to Hellnar on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Four adults were comfortable sharing the cottage.”

”My wife and I spent four nights in this duplex cottage in the town of Hellnar on the Snaefellsbaer Peninsula. We were greeted by an amazing display of the Northern Lights on our first night. The place was comfortable and quiet and had all the amenities needed to feel like home for a few days. The views are stunning--the sea in one direction and mountains and the volcano that dominates the west end of the peninsula in the other. There are several little places to eat within a 5-10 minutes...

”The cottage was compact and well equipped for 2 people. I liked the quiet location and easy parking. I had two caveats: large downloads and streaming was prohibited on the wifi and guests were requested to change the bedding, make up the bed for the next guests arriving.”

”Beautiful homes; we would definitely return! 10 of us enjoyed our stay at these two lovely homes. Both houses were clean, spacious, and well stocked. The windows in the main house were especially wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes for our large group to have home cooked meals at the large table. We had trouble getting the lock box open (likely frozen shut) and the key to the second cottage was tricky / sticky and needed some extra finesse to get in/out....

”The house delivered everything we hoped it would for our family trip incl. Kids and 80years old seniors. Convenience to store while being far enogh away from others allowed us to observe an unforgettable show of the aurora. Proximity to silver loop attractions and peninsula of snaefellsness was perfect for our day trips wothout having to spend toouch time in the car. ”

”We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here”

”Where to begin... the house was absolutely immaculate. It was nice to have a thorough information packet e-mailed to us ahead of time to prepare for our arrival. From the shoe rack by the door (to keep the floors clean throughout our stay, we took off our shoes... I think it is also customary in Iceland to take off your shoes indoors), the heated towel rack in the bathroom, the neatly made beds, the hot tub heated and all ready to go, and an efficient but cozy layout, the home was perfect for...
