HAD $1000 STOLEN FROM OUR CONDO
I spoke to Gineli, the Vacasa concierge and our main point of contact during our stay about the keys to the safe that the directions stated were required to set the code were missing so we couldn't lock up money or passports. Nothing was done.
After reporting the money stolen, I found out from Vacasa manager Ambar Ayala that the directions for setting the code to the safe had been "simplified" and keys were no longer necessary.
We did not receive the simplified instructions, nor did Gineli inform me of the change when I reported I couldn't lock the safe.
If I had been given the new instructions my money would have been locked up and would not have been stolen
No one at Vacasa is taking any responsibility.
The last email I received from them states: "After consulting with senior management, both local and central, as well as our legal department, we are reaching out to let you know that our investigation into this does not find any indication that Vacasa was at fault."
Maintenance was in my unit while I was not there due to a large leak from the sliding doors in my bedroom. The towels I had thrown on the floor to quickly soak up the puddle of water had been moved and spread out while I was out to dinner.
Vacasa will not acknowledge any of this.
I spoke with several owners and they have stated things go missing on a regular basis.
The description of this unit is also false. There is NO beach steps away or across the street. THERE IS NO BEACH AT ALL!
The unit was very dirty.
