Wonderful retreat lake house, close to great hiking trails

Incredible views overlooking Grindstone Lake, great for fishing or swimming during the summer months. Spacious accommodations with 6 bedrooms/6 bathrooms and two family areas. After a day of walking the nearby hiking trails soak in the hot tub with views of the lake or relax with one of the two fireplaces, both with views of the lake.

Wow! Impressive home with gorgeous views!
Stayed here with my family and enjoyed every piece of it! Home was beautiful and well equipped! I have stayed in many hotels, resorts and VRBOs and this is absolutely the BEST! Words do not do this property justice. This will be my go to place going forward. My family and I appreciate the attention to detail and just how well laid out this house was.

A perfect family getaway!
The home was spacious enough for everyone to spread out. It was clean and just perfect for our family. Stunning views! We went fishing at the lake and caught multiple fish. With six bedrooms and bathrooms, it truly was a perfect size for a large family gathering. The great room was perfect for family game night. We would definitely stay here again! We made some great memories.!

Family Vacation 2023
We take a family vacation every year and this by far was the nicest place we have ever stayed. We have 13 family members and everyone had plenty of space. The views were amazing. You hike down the trail behind the house to get to Grindstone lake, which was very pretty. Alex, our host, was very accommodating, and took wonderful care of us.

Family trip
We have been coming to Ruidoso each summer for years. This is absolutely the most beautiful property we have ever rented, from the furnishings to the decor. It was well equipped and stocked with everything we needed. Alex the property manager was great to deal with as well..Of course everything was so nice and ready for us the only question was how to turn the hottub on..My family and I highly recommend this property!

3 -day getaway
We stayed Feb 2023 for a 3 day wked and the house was just beautiful the pictures don’t give it justice . The views on the balconies are amazing it just snowed a few days prior to us getting there so it made the mountains look amazing. Love that the house has a bathroom for every bedroom and we used them all with the size of our group . The property manager Liz was easy to get a response from so she made it super easy . Hiking from just your backyard to the lake was so convenient and easy . We will definitely stay here again ! 5 Stars from us !!

The most breathtaking views
The place was beautiful with the most breathtaking views!! The property manager was quick to answer all of our questions and were amazing to accommodate our family as we arrived a little earlier then our check-in time due to the time difference we did not take into consideration. This property was an excellent place for the family to celebrate an early Christmas. Very clean and well kept rental. Was decorated for the season. Wonderful view and accommodated our group perfectly. Impressed how well the kitchen was supplied with pans, utensils, etc. allowing us to prep beautiful meals. The house was enjoyed by all.

Great Family Getaway
The place is great and every bedroom has it's own bathroom which makes it nice. We did have a toilet paper and trash bag shortage. We were very good at emptying trash but has to make a trip to the store to buy more trash bags (they need more). Other than that this cabin is very well stocked with all you need to use the kitchen. The view and patio life is great. Layout of living areas is great. I would stay again. :)
