”SLO and the surrounding communities are my happy places. I love the scenery, the weather, the ocean, the people, the food. This trip was for my son’s wedding at the Madonna Inn (which was fabulous, of course).This house is located on the top of the hills overlooking Morro Bay and Montana De Oro. On a clear day you can see Cayucos in the distance. The rolling green hills are beautiful. If you are bike rider with the stamina to take on the 1200 foot elevation it would be a trip to remember as...

”Wonderful stay just a block from the ocean. All bedrooms are upstairs so you’ll get a workout but who wants to spend time walking upstairs when you’re so close to the beach you can walk on the sand. All appliances worked perfectly and home was equipped with everything you needed, except for a rice cooker, lol. Outdoor shared BBQ was a great addition. Second story small patio had a table and chairs for fresh outdoor air! ”

”This was the perfect place to get away from everything and be with family. The location couldn’t be better and the space was very comfortable. Beautiful views in every direction, and bam, the beach and wharf is right there. Of note, we had our elderly mom and my husband with us who doesn’t walk very well and there are a couple sets of stairs to get to the second story. They were able to with assistance, but something to be aware of if you have anyone in your party with ADA limitations....

”My wife and I had a great extended weekend at Captain Javas Cottage. The location is very close to the beach on a route frequented by many folks walking or riding bicycles. Very short drive to downtown Morro Bay or Cayucos. Cottage is stocked with all the necessities and the hosts are friendly and responsive. Definitely on the ‘would stay there again’ list!”

”We stayed due to overflow at a family home during a Celebration of Life! This stay was a blessing in many ways! There were many similarities to the family home which were welcoming and comforting. A 32 year neighbor of my parents (family home) coincidentally knew Leslie, our host and described her as a “great woman.” The house was lovely and clean. It was wonderful viewing the look from the other end!”

”It’s a very cozy and comfortable home. The house bedrooms are well furnished. The kitchen has all the needed appliances. It would be nice to have stainless steel vessels for cooking as the nonstick are not well cared for by guests. Overall an excellent place to spend 4 days.”
