”Wow - nothing was too much. The team at Small hotel just always surprised us from treats in our rooms to my car being washed (which I’m still in absolute shock and wow - that’s a memorable moment - thank you Wright). The team are all friendly - Noami, Chanti, Charles, Wright and rest of the team are incredible. The actual hotel is beautiful, it’s like a sanctuary. ”Very nice one night stay while travelling. Stayed in the garden room - very quiet and also has self-catering facilities. Short walk to several restaurants. We opted for a pizza nearby. Expedia shows breakfast included. This is an error - owner trying to resolve with agency. But breakfast is available at a small cost. Just ask Mike to show you his collection - stunning!”

”We’ve stayed 3 or 4 times at Excelsior, and, as last visit, had a wonderful time. The setting is amazing, Kirstin who runs it is lovely, very efficient and an amazing cook! James who is maitre d’, is also very personable and helpful. Both of them make sure your stay is top class. There’s a golf buggy you can use to look round the vineyard. The wine is very good indeed, and guests get to drink it free, whether lounging round the beautiful pool or enjoying one of Kirstin’s wonderful...

”We spent a night at this lovely place on the outskirts of Montagu. There is a feeling of being out in the country, without actually being too far away from the very pretty town. The room is nicely furnished, very good bed. The views from the private patio are wonderful. Very good breakfast. Unfortunately we didn´t do the tour of the Botanical Products manufacturing, on site - where lovely organic beauty products are lovingly made. We hope to do that next time!”

”Amazingly peaceful stay at this beautiful grand old house filled with gorgeous and well mantained antiques. The breakfast was incredible, and we really appreciated the fresh baked gluten free bread! The service was all we could wish for and we enjoyed swimming in the pool outside under the stars. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a break from the city hustle and bustle.”

”This is one of my favourite places near Robertson. Beautiful setting with a little pond you can overlook from the bar. In the evening phantastic atmosphere and vwry peaceful. Also the staff very friendly and I received an excellent breakfast. Had been here before when it still was Rosendal Winery. Now new owners who have some excellent ideas how to develop the place. I really enjoyed the discussion with them. Hope to come back one day and see the further development”

”Overall we had an excellent stay, however a couple of things. Other guests didn't respect the no noise after 10 PM rule and were quite loud which made it very hard to sleep as obviously in tents like these you hear everything. Also, we were struggling to enter the property when checking in. We were supposed to use the code for the gate received by email, but we weren't able to check our email and we were stuck for half an hour, trying to call the emergency number to no avail.
