”Our stay was very enjoyable. The property is very unique and picturesque. The small cottages with a couple rooms each are very quiet. The grounds are very old and beautiful. They are cobble stone and so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent and breakfast had a good variety. ”

”We really enjoyed our stay at Pico Terramar & Spa. The staff was very friendly, the hotel had very calm and relaxed atmosphere, everything was very new and clean and we loved the spa section with finnish sauna, bathtub and pools inside & outside. Only a short (15-20min) walk away from Madalena port and also a supermarket nearby. Highly recommend! ”

”Das Pocinho Bay Hotel hat nur 6 Zimmer, die sehr sauber sind, genauso wie die gesamte Anlage. Es gibt einen schönen Pool, wo jeder Gast einebequeme Liege findet. Die Zimmer sind gross und geräumig. Die Lage ist sehr schön: ruhig, etwa 10 min (Auto) von Madalena entfernt, direkt am Meer mit einer wenig besuchten Badebucht. In wenigen Schritten kommt man also vom Pool zum Baden im Meer. Das ist auf Pico wohl einmalig. Auch die Aussicht auf die Insel Faial ist wunderschön. ”

Their hospitality to share their home with us was such a nice change of pace from staying at hotels in Terceira and Sao Miguel. They gave us a nice tour of their farm and animals. ”The room was a little dump, wonder that maybe we were rhe first visitors after wintertime. In the first night the bed feel dump and cold. The breakfast was okei. The commodation was far a way from anu restaurants or so. Could it be possible have information about nearest restaurants, snack bars and so on. There are not so many places to eat in Pico and the accommodation only have the br eakfast. Also it has to be said in advotising that guest have to have a car to get in there and to anywhere...

”Kind people operating it. The property has a great view to the Pico Mountain, there are multiple houses lined up on a small street. It's a very peaceful vibe. It's within walking distance (an a beautiful walk - nice village with flowers, and fruits) to a cafe/bakery, a couple of restaurants, and a nice natural pool for swimming.”
