”The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

”This was a highlight of my trip to India. Fifu is such a kind and generous man, not to mention so helpful with coordinating a camel safari and transportation at the best price. The whole staff at the hotel was so hardworking. The rooftop restaurant had a great view with excellent food. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. ”

”Their Deluxe Suite was roomy, clean, and luxurious. Room stayed cool without using the AC on hot days and the temperature was nice for sleeping on cool nights even without us turning on any heating. Bed was comfy. The hotel's design and many terrace levels offered chances to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, views to the town and fort, depending on whichever you were in the mood for. The location was perfect! The staff was professional and welcoming. The warm hospitality and personal attention...

”Absolutely stunning part palace part hotel. Stayed on the Golden Suite which had comfy double bed and separate small sitting room. Close to the fort. Lovely rooftop restaurant and separate breakfast room. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful.”

”Bad front desk service; extremely slow to carry out a simple task. Food isn’t great - they should be able to get a good chef and cook more appealing meals given that the hotel is in the middle of Rajasthan. Comfy room but location is poor, staff are badly-trained and not interested in being helpful or doing anything at all above the bare minimum. Stayed here last-minute and would only advise booking if you have to do the same. ”

”This hotel was incredible. The room was a comfortable size, beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfy. They decorated it in rose petals and balloons for my birthday as a driving surprise ( after my partner asked them) The outside of the building was so intricately decorated in carved sandstone. The pool was refreshing and a most welcome pleasure. Views of the huge fort looming above, while we are in the restaurant, were like something from a movie. The boys in the upstairs...

”Great accommodation and friendly staff. Be aware that the property is 50K outside of Jaisalmer. The address on the booking site is their downtown office, 20 minutes form the fort. You will need to book transportation to and from the camp.”

”Staff is very average and not the warm kinds (which is very unusual in hospitality industry). The staff was evidently pushing tasks from one department to another. Seemed like they want to make money on every given instance- baby food was also chargeable, which is not chargeable at every Hotel, wherever we have stayed earlier. Food is very basic.”
