”The place was exactly like they said it was. Communication with Ola was very good and easy. Parking was so nice to have. Place was very quiet with a grocery store, a small Iowa bar, and plenty of other local and chain places to eat right around the corner. Would stay here again. ”

The photos don't quite do it justice, high ceilings, beautifully furnished. Everything from the kitchen to the linens and pillows and mattresses was just lovely and comfortable. ”We loved our visit to Chicago! So much to do! We enjoyed Frank Lloyd Wright homes in Oak Park. We had fun at Wrigley Field as the Cubs won (train ride from house to Wrigley is only 2 stops). We took the train downtown for the Architecture Tour, shopping on Michigan, taking pictures with the Bean and other stuff in Millennium Park, shopping in all the 2nd hand/vintage clothing shops in Wicker Park, eating yummy tacos at Tacombi in Wicker Park, eating at Mindy's Bakery in Wicker Park, eating...

”I’m originally from Chicago. I knew the area was nice, but we were genuinely blown away how beautiful the view is from this property. We found ourselves standing in front of the windows, looking outwards for long periods of time. Highly recommend.”

Traffic is very loud outside, but that is Chicago. Had a small issue with hot water when we first arrived but host was responsive and had it fixed later that day.”

The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. Ali was a great host, helpful, hospitable and communication was easy with him. He responded quickly and always helped when needed. Overall, the apartment felt like home and I hope to come back. I really recommend staying here if you want a five star experience....

Sandra at the front desk was the sweetest and made check in a breeze, even allowing us to check in early. The room was clean, however there was a burn mark on the kitchen floor and it appeared as it was not vacuumed. Otherwise the room was wonderful, we would definitely stay here again! ”

Absolutely brilliant

"My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."

"Huone oli vanhan oloinen, haju tunkkainen, kokolattiamatto vaikutti vanhalta ja siinä oli kaikenlaisia läikkiä. Huone muuten välttävä, mutta kaipaisi remonttia. Pesuhuone oli remontoitu ja oli tosi siisti. Hotellin käytävillä myös vanhanaikaisen näköiset kokolattiamatot. Kokonaisuutena välttävä hotelli, mutta en menisi uudelleen. Hotellin nettisivuilla olevat kuvat antavat huomattavasti siistimmän kuvan hotellista kuin todellisuus, ne on joko photosopattu tai otettu monta vuotta sitten. Hotellin sijainti tosi hyvä, paitsi kaikenlaisia kodittomia yms norkoili hotellin läheisyydessä kadulla. "
