Located in a small town outside of Grand Bend, this beautiful and private unit includes everything you need! Full kitchen, laundry along with a private backyard and parking. Includes BBQ, fire pit and firewood. 30 second walk to an LCBO, grocery store and ice cream shop.

Perfect family getaway!
We had an amazing time in Parkhill and the surrounding area. We were thrilled to be able to walk to the grocery store, restaurants, an ice cream shop, and LCBO. Our dog absolutely fell in love with the enclosed yard, choosing to spend much of his getaway quietly watching the neighborhood. It is clear the hosts put love into this property. The space was inviting and decorated beautifully. We would love to come stay again!

Bring bug spray
We had lovely weather for our vacation to Grand Bend. For a family of 4 the eating space is limited so having the outdoor space would have been very helpful, but unfortunately there were lots of mosquitoes and tho we had our own bug spray it wasn’t enough of a repellent to prevent the kids from getting badly bitten up. The unit is nicely renovated and the host was quick to respond to questions, but obviously they cannot control the mosquitoes.

Just came back from 4 days and 3 nights at this cozy getaway in Parkhill. Beautifully outfitted 2 bedroom suite at the back of this house, steps from Foodland, LCBO, restaurants, and parks. Minutes from Grand Bend and Ipperwash beaches. Upstairs is a comfortable master suite with a queen bed, and a second bedroom with two double beds. All the modern conveniences included in the kitchen, living room, small back yard with fire pit (including a wood pile), BBQ. Beautifully appointed bathroom, with laundry. And pet friendly. Privacy assured. Super quiet. Very relaxing. Contactless hosting. Just a great place for a single, couple, or a small family. Perfect for what we wanted. Could not be happier! Highly recommended.

Cozy clean and well decorated escape
The cottage was well decorated with all the amenities you could need. The coffee pods were an instant hit with our family. The beds and linen were comfortable and the shower is amazing! The bedrooms were on the 2nd floor with the bathroom on the 1st floor, making for uneasy walks during the night. The backyard didn’t get any use due to the many mosquitoes in the area. This was just a bad year for them. Recommend Grammies for pizza as it was fabulous! Parkhill is a great little town to explore. We were lucky to catch the Parkhill summer fair on the way out of town.

Perfect little getaway
The Daytripper was the perfect getaway for our family. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and we enjoyed taking our dog for his daily walks. There are lots of beautiful trails within 15 minutes and Pinery Provincial Park. The rental had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And Kristen was available if we needed anything, which we didn't. Thank you.

Perfectly positioned to explore
We needed a little getaway and this was perfectly positioned place to stay with our pup to explore a little bit of Stratford (1hr drive) and Grand Bend (20min drive). The place is beautifully decorated with a nice yard for an evening by the fire.

I was so pleased with this rental ! It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and super quiet. I only stayed for three nights but I slept comfortably every night. It was nice to have a little yard to sit outside with my dogs and enjoy the nice weather. The host was easy to contact and was very hospitable. If I ever had to return to Parkhill, I would definitely book with this host. They made sure that I had all the comforts of home.

Why Parkhill?
All our friends were surprised that we planned to stay in Parkhill - but we would say, why not?! The Property was easy to find, very clean, and met our needs perfectly. We stayed with friends and were able to explore the area easily. Although we booked our holiday stay during the winter, we used the bbq and sat out in the winter sun. Home Away from Home: The Day Tripper is our new Favourite Place to Stay While on Vacation in SWO
The Day Tripper did not disappoint. This family friendly rental is beautiful, clean, the beds are incredibly comfy, water pressure is terrific, the kitchen is stocked with any equipment you may need while on a holiday, and having access to laundry is an added bonus when trying to travel light with kids. We enjoyed spending time in the yard under the shade of the maples - very peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the owners was easy and they're very quick to respond to any questions we had. Also seem very kind. The rental is a hop, skip and a jump from Main St and just a short drive to many great sites including beaches, restaurants, markets and breweries. Highly recommend this rental and will book again!

Lovely place that was clean and well decorated. Love the clean and calm feel with character. I actually want to know where the cute bed sheets are from in the master bedroom and what the colour of paint is on the accent wall and stairs lol. We enjoyed our stay very much and had everything we need. ONLY COMPLAINT: your master mattress is hard as a rock. I hate firm mattresses so if that's your thing I guess it's no issue for you. Even had a little bed for our dog. Would stay again!

Great place to stay
Kristen and her husband were great hosts and responded quickly if we needed something. Their place was private and clean, and for a small town, the grocery store, dollar store and gas station was conveniently located. (Tip: if you like cooking, you will need to bring your own special spices, sugar, cooking oil etc.) We normally do camping but we saw more creatures up close here than at camp. We saw a blue jay fledgling hanging out for a few days. It even sat with us one night while we were using the firepit. A frog was by the bbq, and there were lots of fireflies at night. We went into Grand Bend a couple of times and we had a season's pass to Pinery, so we had no shortage of things to do. The Day Tripper is an excellent place to stay and we highly recommend it.

An amazingly clean & cute property that fit our family of 5 perfectly. The location is less than 15 minutes away from everything (Grand Bend, Pinery Park) & had amenities close by (food, LCBO, etc.) I would definitely recommend this property to others!

Beautiful home
Lovely, clean, modern home within walking distance of a grocery store, LCBO, ice cream parlor, and playground with a splash pad. We used the fire pit every evening and got a seasonal pass to the provincial park to fish and spend the day at the beach. Laundry in the washroom was a huge bonus and plenty of towels. Absolutely loved our stay!!!
