”A cheap stay in an older hotel. Staff was nice. Breakfast was decent, not a big variety, but well made. Bed was fine. The other clientele was … interesting. It was about what I expected for the price and location.”

”When I arrived, the hotel smelled very clean. There was someone at the front desk to help me right away and it was an easy process. The breakfast offered hot and cold options. I would stay at this hotel again.”

”Comfortable stay, nice property. Communication prior to arrival on Expedia was non existent. The nightly rate was fair for what you get, if your getting your own bathroom. The fees were high. You are charged double fees for using Expedia and a card ($18). Couldn't get the TV to work, it was a cold breakfast not a hot one fyi. Guests have to present for owner to run your card. Not sure why that is either if your card is on Expedia. Thank you for the accommodations. ”

”My room was not cleaned. There was food on the floor along with plastic silverware and hair in the bathroom. The bed was made but had food and blood spots on the sheets. The pillow cases had drool stains on them. they gave me a second room which the floors were not vacuumed and the pillow spelt terrible. The sheets did look clean. The bathroom had strings and hair on the floor. Very disappointed! The outside was not maintained either.”

”The rooms were nice, although the beds were too soft for me. The common areas were nice and comfortable. The kids used the pool and enjoyed it. Breakfast was decent. Unfortunately the TVs did not work properly. Overall a good stay!”

”This was our first visit to Mystic and we blown away!! What a beautiful, amazing property. We were so impressed by the options for dining and bars we had a hard time choosing. Can’t wait to come back and experience more of the amenities on site like the golf and the spa. Overall, amazing experience! Absolutely recommend.”

”Stayed for three nights. Room never freshened up. Ran out of toilet paper and tissues- had to get from desk. Never stayed somewhere for three nights and never had room cleaned. Our trash can was overflowing- just not impressed”

”The entire building stunk like cigarettes, including our non-smoking room. We couldn’t get the smell out even with Febreeze. The kind sized bed was super hard, like extra extra firm. Our shoulders were very sore in the morning. The air conditioner did not operate correctly, and no matter how we set it, it stayed very cold and no additional blankets were in the room. Just one very thin blanket was provided other than the bedspread. The breakfast room looked enticing, however the stench of...

”The property was so clean and the breakfast staff and maids were always wiping things down. The check-in ladies were great and very helpful. The only downfall was you had to book two nights online and they price was very high because of activities in town. I was very surprised that so many rooms were empty. I think because they made you book two nights and really high for small town.”

”I cannot recommend this location in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. The room was very dirty. The hot tub was unusable and the guests were unruly until wee hours of the morning. The windows have never been washed. The hot tub had filth coming out of its jets and the bottom of the bed frame looks like it had never been wiped down. The place is definitely in need of some TLC and for what I paid a night $169. I am completely unsatisfied.”

”About as good as the photos show. The carpet was dirty and needs to be replaced. There were some bugs (doors are exterior so to be expected, I guess?), but no bed bugs. Sheets seemed clean. There was a spider and web over one bed. Queen beds (2) were each up against a wall or window on one side, so small. Everything was very old and smelled old. We think the paint on the outside is new. The woman who runs the motel is very sweet and we can tell she’s trying hard. Making updates where she can....
