”10 out of 10 for the staff, who were welcoming and helpful. The location of the property is very good for exploring Rye, a short walk away. The room size was good, however the window locks are old and ineffective, and I noted a fire door propped open, giving people access from the street. Needs some money spent on it to bring up to standard, but as I said, staff were great. ”

”I have always wanted to visit Rye after l heard about it on the radio. I was not disappointed. The Ship Inn staff were very welcoming, the food was lovely and also the atmosphere, you felt that the staff were happy in their work. We had our rather large dog with us, who settled quickly to his different surroundings. Also a sausage treat now and then was welcomed. ”We loved our stay in this unique place. The staff was warm and welcoming and very accommodating and the surrounding area was gorgeous to wander. Given the age of the Inn, the facilities are excellent, although an upgrade in the bathroom, especially the shower, would be nice. Overall though, I highly recommend this wonderful, historic, and charming place!”
