”The cottage is built unusually which my three kids loved. You go up a short flight of stairs as you go in and that takes you to a nice kitchen with plenty room for a family to eat in. You then go up another flight of stairs. There’s a large bathroom with shower, a living area and a bedroom.(single bed). You dig up another flight of stairs to two bedrooms, one double, one twin. The stairs are not an issue, it meant adequate sound proofing from each other and the kids loved it. The living area has...

”We stayed for two weeks at The Bothy. We used it as a base to explore the Dales. We enjoyed seeing the local sights and villages. There are numerous sites to visit within one hour’s drive. Also, there are nice walks from the front door to visit Aysgarth Falls, Cauldron Falls at West Burton, and a longer walk to Bolton Castle. We found the cottage to be comfortable, including plenty of cooking utensils, good stove and a reasonable-size fridge. There was plenty of hot water for the comfortable...

”A very cosy and charming cottage with a pleasant and private outdoor space. It was very well equipped with everything required for a pleasant stay. It is also very well located for exploring the North Yorkshire area, with Harrogate and York within easy reach by car. ”

”The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.”
