”The room was cosy and sufficient for one night. It was tidy, but I could see it was wasn't wiped down properly after the previous guests, as I could still spot evidence of their stay here and there. Thankfully not enough to yuck me out. If you are a light sleeper, make sure you take some ear plugs, as you can hear almost everything your neighbours are doing and saying, in particular if you are in a downstairs room. ”Without question, this was the worst hotel I've stayed in, in years. There was no manager on duty when we arrived (late afternoon - certainly not off-hours), so one of the bartenders had to check us in - and she seemed put out by it. The room had not been cleaned properly; there was a *USED* condom in the bathroom!!!! And, the drain in the *tiny* shower stall didn't work. Again; no manager to be found, so I had to deal with another rude bar server again. They took care of removing the condom...

”This property was an absolute dream. Fantastic views of Loch Ness, walking distance to Urquhart Castle, spacious, quiet, peaceful and clean. It was a bit difficult to find for the first time in the dark as it gets quite dark in Scotland, but that was more due to my unfamiliarity with the area than the instructions that were given.
