”We had a wonderful time at Grin and Bear it. The house was well stocked and very clean. It had everything we needed for a quiet and relaxing getaway and DK made himself available for any questions. I highly recommend staying here if you travel to Alpine Lake. ”

”Overall the place was beyond great from every aspect to me. Everything inside the room was new and looked great only issue was no shower curtain but wasn’t a deal breaker. Me and my nephew stayed there over the weekend to do atv trails in the town of Gilbert WV. Was a blast will definitely go back. Anyone looking to book don’t let outside appearance fool you it definitely is nice and comfortable along with it being affordable too. ”

”The place is an older "inn style" place. Don't expect extravagant, but it is kept nice and the hosts were very responsive to any messages I sent. The big perk for us was the NO UPCHARGE on pets. The view of the river is awesome and it is off a "main" road. We felt comfortable and safe walking our dogs down the road that this place is located on. It is also really close to the main road and that is really convenient for getting to and from Elkins, Stuarts park, etc. The toilet was having an issue...

”The property was perfect for our group of 6 adults, 2 kiddos, and one dog. The bedrooms were as described and comfy. The house was exceptionally well provisioned with everything we needed! The host was super responsive and checkin/checkout was simple. We especially enjoyed the sleds and had a blast of playing in the snow. We can’t wait to come back when it’s warm and enjoy the outdoor space!”

”Nice location for motorcycle riding day-trips. We spent the week riding the beautiful roads of WV, MD, and PA. Visiting sights such as Blackwater Falls, Flight 93 Memorial, Seneca Rock, and New River Gorge Bridge to name a few. Host let us extend our stay. Prompt communication throughout. ”

”Beautiful view. Perfect to stay for local ski. Only thing i had issue with is room seemed to get hott at night even with heat off. Nbd just opened window. Otherwise great place to stay”

”It’s at the perfect location and it’s very clean and has a huge parking lot to pull around and park and your 2 minutes from some nice restaurants to eat at and good trails all around it even one on the other side the street. Will definitely be back”
