”Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely by IHG is the best alternative, in my opinion, to The Prospector Casino right next door. Breakfast is filling and free coffee is available in the lobby 24/7 for the coffee lovers like me. The not so good was that the fridge in my room did not have a freezer, as a result, I had to eat the 3 frozen meals I brought with me all at once, otherwise they would have gone bad; the ice machine on my floor was not working, and the staff could be a tad friendlier. ...

”Very outdated & old. Front desk staff was nice & friendly. Linens & bathroom were clean but carpet was dirty & stained to the point we didn’t even want the bottom of our luggage setting on it. The property is so old (no building codes) that the toilet is so close to the wall we literally had to turn sideways to use it & we’re thin people, lol. Only stayed 1 night bc we were passing through & that was enough to make it memorable & get a laugh. ”

”This is a great hotel. VERY clean. It's an older building with modern updates. That makes it kind of cool and funky. There's no pool or hot tub, but then again... it's Eureka. The people are great and the breakfast is very unique (and enjoyable).”
