"There is the historic part of the hotel and the modern. We accidentally booked the historic side with no elevator and very small rooms. They were very accommodating and switched us to the modern side with elevators. They have a van that will also take you anywhere you wanna go in town."

Rustic cabin with great Alaska experience

"The quiet location with windows and a deck overlooking the river offered great views and wildlife viewing. The owner, Russ, was very hospitable and provided helpful information about the area. Definitely would stay here again.A great beginning to our Alaska experience!"

Great location and loaded with history

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Cable House. Plenty of room for 4 people. Tanguy & Sebastian were very responsive. Shower had lots of hot water with pressure. Bedding was very comfortable. Full well equipped kitchen. House overlooks the water and is only 2 blocks from the main street. Unfortunately ..."
