”It's a good value cottage in a good location just a few minutes from National Park and close to Whakapapa. It could do with a good spring clean, but you can't argue the price. ”The owners have done a lovely job furnishing the property. It's near the Westside of Lake Taupo. Great fishing and very nice beach, but there a couple of issues. The property lacks internet! It's the 21st century, not having internet is like not having indoor plumbing or electricity. Without the internet, there's no smart TV. When I could break through the AI chatbot that VRBO provides for feedback the owner was responsive and helpful. When I return to this property I will seek out the owner directly and cut out VRBO. ”Our stay was amazing, although the road noise in the two front rooms where annoying I guess it's only until the road is opened again on state highway 1. The venue was lovely and we all enjoyed the 1920s theme, we even dressed in period clothing for dinner on the sat night. The house was well set up with everything we needed, and close to visiting the mountain. I would recommend this venue, especially for large groups.”

However, instructions for cleaning/leaving were not given so there was some confusion about what we needed to do. We had noticed that there were some areas that had not been cleaned for a while, then met the person who came to change the beds and apparently that is all she does? So - clearer instructions please, we would have cleaned if we'd known we had to.”
