"I booked a room at Hidden Gem due to a cancelled flight. It was close to the airport and the price was reasonable. "Not clear if had a restaurant in the advertising and restaurant next door expensive and not very good quality. There is one bar and shop nearby which were good and the bar usually has food. Cannot swim there as rocky and sargassum on sandy beach. Generally an isolated location. Location is 25mins from town and can catch the number 11 bus into town. Taxis expensive $100 Barbados dollars. Bus is $3.50 one way"

"I stayed at Lillistone for 3 weeks in Jan-Feb, 2024. Single woman. The house is very clean and spacious. It is in a quiet, safe neighborhood away from the touristy areas. There is always a cool breeze in the back yard. Ten-minute walk to Surfer's Point and a 20-minute walk to Silver Sands Beach and Silver Rock Beach. "I don't have the words to say how amazing this resort is. The entire place is absolutely beautiful. Our room was amazing. The bathrooms are beautiful. We were on the side that the fancy restaurant is on, it was so so peaceful and quiet. There were no more than 2 other people at the pool at a time. We were on the 1st level, so we were poolside. The place was kept very clean. The food was awesome, and we had the buffet each day. The pool bar was awesome, and they had waiters come by and take drink orders so we didn't even have to get out of the pool. The bars have refrigerators with shrimp salads, chicken wraps, waters, and juice. The ocean is rough so you can't really swim there, However you can layout. The pool by the lobby played 2000s R&B which was a vibe. This resort is on it's own, meaning there aren't any other resorts nearby. You will have to take a taxi ($70 for one way) to the town area if you want to venture out. The island is very safe. You can book excursions through the hotel and we had a BLAST snorkeling and hiring a private tour of the island. We went to the fish fry on Friday and if you don't like a "club scene", this isn't for you. We went to a beach on one of the resorts (I can't rememeber the name) and it was BEAUTIFUL. I can't recommend this resort enough. It's amazing."
