”The attention to detail was second to none even leaving a lovely fresh loaf of bread with all condiments to make breakfast toast. The evening roast dinner was superb and our host Jake alongside his ‘sommelier’ Charly couldn't do enough for us. We shall return.”

”A lovely hotel/pub. The staff were very welcoming helpful, friendly and efficient. The chef produced some wonderful meals We've stayed in larger rooms but that didnt matter as there was everything you needed with the added bonus of being so lovely and warm as we chose to stay during the coldest few days of this year. York, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors were all not far away. We'll definitely be back.”

”Overall good. Beautiful room and hotel. Room very hot though and unfortunately the hotel staff couldn't fix the problem. It was 24 degrees permanently. We had to leave the wondow open and the duvet off. Beautiful food in the restaurant in the evening. Breakfast ok, nothing special. ”
