”This hotel was very convenient if you travel by train. I was unlucky to arrive in the middle of the railway strike, so I had no advantage of the location. The hotel is a quite standard or a bit under a 4 star hotel. I did miss a hand shower and at least a shower cap, when the only shower is coming from above. The service, breakfast and bar was ok. Nothing special but nothing to complain about either. I could stay hear again. The price is less than other of this standard.”

”Room was small (as most rooms are in the UK), but it was so well designed it still felt spacious enough. The seaview was a big bonus. Location couldn't have been better. Lovely staff, I felt very welcome. ”

”Great location although parking was at a public parking garage next to the hotel luckily the hotel offer a discounted rate as the standing charge for 24 hours was £40.50 which is quite expensive. Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly our room which was an upgrade to partial sea view king size was excellent, great size, comfy bed and large walk in shower. Extras included bottled water which in the summer is a great extra. There was the usual tea/coffee available and the room had a fridge...

”The room and public areas were overall in very good condition and clean. The bathroom showed a few signs of wear but nothing to affect the stay. The room was fairly basic but I appreciated the en suite. The staff were very helpful and polite. Parking isn't all that straightforward. Street parking is tight, or alternatively you can use Chapel Street car park which I wouldn't recommend to nervous drivers due to some tight spots and corners entering and exiting the facility.”

”Had a really lovely time staying here for 1 night. Staff are very helpful and polite. Room was amazing. Yes it is an old building so there is going to be some tied look in places. The only down side is the parking if you can get in the hotel parking ( limited spaces ) its 25 pounds for the night . Apart from the parking which i went off one of the side streets and found somewhere but just to warn you its not easy. Had an evening meal at the hotel and it was very good and great value for money....

”There is no elevator so the staff carried my bags to my room. The restaurant food was good but not great but the service was great. My room was very big with a claw foot tub and a rain shower. ”We were less than a block from the beach. Although the room was small, it was painted light and felt airy and roomy. The only downside was the shower. It was tiny, which is manageable, but the rain shower head made it so there was no place in the shower you weren't getting wet. There was not a shelf for soap or anything and the door wouldn't close. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.”
