”This was the final leg of our trip to Northern West Costa Rica. It was nice to settle down at Hacienda Guachepelin knowing we could just stay put for a bit. The Hotel is right next to the entry to Ricón de la Vieja National Park. It is on extensive grounds and has beautiful views and many activities including tubing, horseback riding, zip-lining, hiking and relaxing in hot springs and waterfalls. We took an easy guided horse back ride to La Oropendola Waterfall which is an impressive 25 meters....

”Stayed one night before going back to Canada. Great shower, air conditioner worked very well, very clean room and the beds were great. Reception dude was very helpful in many ways. There is great free parking out front but lots of people park like douches. ”

”I liked the dining facilities which offered a complimentary breakfast and a wide range of dinner options. The pool was nice. The receptionist/manager helped to make our stay memorable with his fluent English and enthusiasm for Costa Rican culture and his musical talents. The location is on the slopes of a volcano park where tours are available. It is about an hour’s drive from Liberia so we had an easy drive to catch our flight home. ”

”Clean, very modest hotel along a road that is quite busy (noisy) during traffic time. Staff very kind and accommodating. On site coffee shop (Ticoffee) offers an interesting menu.”

”Admittedly, we discovered this lodge because our flight from the Liberia airport was unexpectedly cancelled. We had spent a long, awful day at the airport and it was rather late when I booked through Expedia. (The airline had no accommodations planned for travelers. Ufff). I was SO relieved that the staff were willing to stay open late to receive us. They even asked the restaurant staff to stay late so we could all get something to eat before bed. ”The hotel was good. I chose to pay at the hotel and they overcharged me. Expedia would not help with this of course, but otherwise the stay was good. It was a reasonable night for one night before I flew out of the country”

”Close to airport. Despite that it was quiet. Good price. They can provide transport to airport on request. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is eating close by, but quite limited. Good inexpensive choice if you have an early morning flight.”
