”For our group of 10 adult girl friends/family, this was a great house. We especially loved gathering in the nice kitchen and around the island, and in the dining room, which seated us all. Best, though, was the heated pool, which was almost ethereal with steam rising off it, overlooking waterbirds on the lake, in the cool October morning. ”We liked the big kitchen, Breakfast area, game room, dining room and living room. Room to park a vehicle in the garage and driveway is big for additional vehicles. FYI for families with young children: there is no pool alarm from 2 sliding doors leading out to back yard/ pool area. Host was very responsive regarding our arrival and access code on door. Host was very responsive to all of our questions prior to arrival.”

”We stayed stayed at the Sentral for a business/family trip. This hotel is beautiful and accommodating. Sandra at the front desk was the sweetest and made check in a breeze, even allowing us to check in early. The room was clean, however there was a burn mark on the kitchen floor and it appeared as it was not vacuumed. Otherwise the room was wonderful, we would definitely stay here again! ”

Absolutely brilliant

"My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."
