”Everything was perfect, spa facilities were lovely and relaxing and spotlessly clean. As was our apartment, the fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Food was excelent both in the evening and breakfast. We think it must be a wonderful place to work as all the staff from reception to cleaners were all very happy, chatty and helpful. ”Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

Saddle Bridge, Dartmoor. This scene shows the lane between Venford and Hexworthy, near to the bottom of the hill as it passes over Saddle Bridge. The cattle grid indicates a land boundary is coming up. This is just out of sight, beyond the green car at the bottom of the hill. To the left of the bridge, the foundations for an old stone building are still clearly evident, but I'm not sure what this would have been.
