”Didn’t stay long, got in late and left asap, the white painted brick rooms were cold and uncomfortable, would not recommend if you can help it ”

”The Ocean view room, had a ocean view. The staff was courteous but for the price paid, I felt the room was quite dated. No microwave in the room, if you want to heat up some food ( The town was almost dead at 7pm, with few dining options). No phone USB chargers as well. I would be okay if this was costing half of what I paid. ”

”Everything was fantastic! The only odd thing is that there wasn’t a headboard on the bed. The staff was very kind! If you look at the window latch on the courtyard side of the room, it might say “made in occupied Japan” on the knob, which if you know your history, it should give you a solid idea on the age of the hotel. But the place is in great shape, seems freshly remodeled, and really is quite a treasure. The song of the night birds is mesmerizing! One word of caution for late arrivals...

”We enjoyed staying here. As a big cat lover I was pleased of the friendly cats they had. The only negative side was the noise which started between 7-8am on mornings. We stayed in unit number 1 so I think that the staff started their day in the room next to ours. Also a sponge for dishes in the room would be nice to have - now we had to borrow it from the kitchen. ”

”The staff was concerned with us getting there before 8pm. We hurried to get there and did not stop for dinner. We arrived to check in at 5pm and the staff seemed eager to show us our rental and get out of there (we were the last and maybe only ones to check in that day). There was a living room but there were beds in it. The shower was challenging to figure out how to use. It had two handles (neither were marked) which seemed to produce cold water no matter how I turned the handles! On the...

”Was very difficult to sleep with all the traffic passing by. Not sure that is fixable but a downside to staying there. ”

”This property was wonderful. It was high above the town with great views of the town and ocean. It had a distinctive modern architectural style and an authentic comfortable feel. Our room was clean and well stocked. It was spacious and we had an outside balcony. There was also a beautiful garden and a large shared living room with a pool table. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Hawaii.”

”Very clean. Nice location. Lots of little things that someone thought to include. Like pots and pans, every utensil imaginable. Very nice place ”

”This is a very nice lodge with a great history. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the nature trail. My only complaint is with the people in the room beneath us as we heard them talking well past the quiet hour of 10:00 pm. As the inn has no night manager, I was required to deal with it myself by talking to them directly. Not sure if the insulation between the rooms is adequate. We did hear other neighbors as well but they respected the quiet hours. ”

”Clean room, great breakfast at time of our choosing. Generous snacks, coffee. Place to hang inside, out front and back. Stuff to use for beach. Thoughtful and friendly hospitality throughout! What a great deal!”
