”We enjoyed staying here. As a big cat lover I was pleased of the friendly cats they had. The only negative side was the noise which started between 7-8am on mornings. We stayed in unit number 1 so I think that the staff started their day in the room next to ours. Also a sponge for dishes in the room would be nice to have - now we had to borrow it from the kitchen. ”

”Fully equiped kitchen, clean & good sized. Hamoock on the balcony was great to enjoy the sounds of the frogs & waves crashing in the distance. Great spot for my needs. Easy acess to the National Park without dealing with city traffic.”

”A peaceful property at the very top of the hill, room 3 overlooked Hilo and the ocean to the east. So waking up and seeing it was perfect. Loved it all.”

”Room was spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Central location was convenient to bus station and farmers market. It did get a bit noisy at times with the close proximity to downtown, but the mynas were the loudest things around. Contactless checkin was smooth and easy. Unfortunately we did not get to eat at Paul's, but it looked delicious. Maybe next time. ”

”Located in the center of Hilo 5-15 minutes away from everything, 45 minutes from Kilauea lookout. The building is older and the lower floors are private businesses but you basically only go to the elevator and the coffee shop. The unit was nice, recently renovated everything kitchen to bathroom. The downfall was the A/C in one of the rooms just broke down and a part needed to be ordered but other than that unit was clean, nice, and enjoyable. ”The room was more than expexcted. Airy a big ceiling fan and 2 additional if needed!!. I wish we could have stayed longer then 1 night. The beds were cozy and the amenities that were available, wow a small kitchen!!!. Bright, clean tidy and the staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful especially Fred🌝. Big mahalo for your hospitality. We'll be back and stay longer.”

”Super fun hostel in the heart of Hilo. They offer a daily activity so don't book any excursions until you see what they have to offer. The staff was great! ”As advertised, the staff is exemplary! All you need to do is ask and a member of the staff will fulfill your request quickly. We had a problem with our TV and they replaced the entire TV in about 15 minutes. The staff has a sense of pride when it comes to making sure everything works at Mauna Kea and that all of your needs are met! ”Amazing facilities, shops, beach access, bike route around Waikoloa. The whole area is serene, quiet, beautiful - not crowded with touting stores like nearby Kona. And overall resort design is beautiful and functional - is full of open areas to hang and still have tranquility. Full of marine life at the lagoon. ”
