"My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."

"Hotellikokemus oli hyvä mutta ei erityisen mieleenpainuva. Mikäli etsii edullisempaa hotellivaihtoehtoa mutta ei sinänsä toivo hotellilta paljon niin tämä on hyvä valinta. Huoneen ilmastointi oli erittäin voimakas eikä tuntunut pienenevän yrityksistä huolimatta. Ilmastointi myös osoitti suoraan sänkyyn joka ainakin itselleni aiheutti heti flunssan oireet pitkän lentomatkan jälkeen. Plussaa uima-altaasta, salista ja näköaloista. Ehdottomasti jos tämän hotellin valitsee suosittelen hyödyntämään allasta ja salia. Hotellin eri värikoodiset hissit aiheuttivat enemmänkin hämmennystä, joten ne eivät olleet itselleni mieleen. Kuitenkin henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja sijainti hyvä."

"Needed a budget place for just sleeping in a central Chicago. For that purpose excellent choice due its location (metro + walking distace everywhere). Quiet+clean hotel and safe location. The attached pub on the street level is nice. Would come next time for a similar trip. Would need a bit of renovation already and definitely more power sockets around the room table ;) Some coffee to go and small stuff to eat in the lobby during mornings would be great. "
