”Very nice spot with interesting layout. The hot water heater requires an aluminum anode rod, as your mineral mix in the well is most likely high in manganese. The sulfuric stench is such that we didn’t want to use the hot water at all. I read other reviews along the same lines, so it has been brought to the owners attention, yet not remedied. Therefore, we wouldn’t stay again unless it was guaranteed that it has been fixed. ”

”We came after a snowstorm (Jan 2025), and actually got stuck on a nearby road! However, Austin has helpful neighbors and made sure to check in on us and make sure we were okay. He is good at responding to messages and the place was lovely. I knew it was small, but imo it feels a bit bigger in person. The outdoor swing was also nice to lie in and look up at the sky (or leaves in summer I guess?). I would definitely come here again!”

”The cabin is so cute and comfortable especially for a beautiful snow storm. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook: toaster oven, microwave, fridge, stove/full sized oven, coffee pot, utensils. The porches are perfect to do a ton of bird watching from. ”Our Women Ministry from the church needed a place to refresh, retreat, re-wire -- away from the city and its noise. This place was so wonderful, calm and so welcome.
