I joked I was only there for the Crepes served in the restaurant downstairs, but I was really there to explore the battlefield. The apartment is small, almost a studio, but clean and cozy. Just fine for me traveling alone. I was there for 6 nights so I went to the grocery and cooked most of my meals in the apartment. I did two walking tours from the apartment. The first was to East Cemetery Hill, Culps hill, and Cemetery ridge, all within easy reach. The second walking tour was of the buildings in historical Gettysburg. Also close by. Restaurants, coffee shop, and ice cream right there in the neighborhood. I also rented a bike and did a tour of the battlefield North and West of town, and on the last day, I hired a battlefield guide. You have to climb the back stairs to reach the apartment, so it would not work if you have mobility problems. If my wife were with me, I would probably prefer a bit more room. I had a fun and rewarding time in Gettysburg, and the apartment worked for me.
