Similar to every other place I’ve stayed in Ft. Davis. And less expensive. Functional, fully furnished (nothing high end/luxury) and comfortable. One bedroom with queen bed and one with double. My husband and I were fine in the double, though we have king at home. Mattress was good and linens very clean and new. Bathroom towels also new and fluffy. Full kitchen, which we didn’t use except for refrigerator and coffee maker (not Keurig or pod). Owner provided the coffee. Water bottles in the fridge in the drawer. Nothing fancy here - but what I expect in Ft. Davis. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the shade, looking at the mountains and perfect sky. Two air conditioner split units in the bedrooms that got quite chilly once the sun went down. We were in Ft. Davis to attend the Prude Ranch camp rodeo on Friday. Btw, there are very few places left to eat dinner and the old drugstore lunch place is gone, but we had lunch at the Hereford Cafe which was great. Sandwiches are pretty big and very tasty. Light eaters can split an order.
I recommend the Starlight as a good place for a few nights, but don’t expect the Ritz.
