”The hotel was way nicer than we expected after reading some reviews here. There was some misunderstanding with our booking and we got a deluxe room instead of a standard one for the first night. The thing was sorted out next morning by the staff and we got moved to a standard room which was actually more recently renovated or built and in my opinion way nicer than the deluxe one! There were few small ants yes, but overall I gound the rooms pretty clean. The staff is really polite and helpful....

”Warning other travellers about this hotel - unless you absolutely have no other place to stay in Mumbai, avoid booking you stay at Hotel Al-Madina. It is situated in the filthiest part of the city, very narrow lane where taxis can't go, no elevator access to L1 (Reception), cockroaches and lizards in the room + toilets, extremely rude owner. I booked this hotel for 2 nights and had to leave within 2 hours of check-in. The hotel charged me for AC even though the rooms are listed as AC rooms.”
