Girls Trip - Plus 1
We planned a get away for a girls Trip. We had a great time in the cabin as well as spending time outdoors. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. The children enjoyed the nearby playgrounds.

Sycamore Springs
This campground is immaculate. We rented the cabin because we have young grandchildren. The kids loved the playgrounds. The adults loved the quiet. This is the perfect extended family getaway location.

Great stay. Great park. Felt very safe. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of bath towels. Plenty of bed sheets. Plenty of parking. One critique is the mini split HVAC units had a hard time keeping the cabin cool during the heat of the day (it was 78° in the cabin upon arrival). Finally cooled down late at night after we went to bed. Would have liked to see a wall unit in the downstairs master bedroom, as it was difficult to keep cool with the door closed at bedtime. Another critique is the 1 bathroom with a small stand up shower isn't quite enough to accomodate up to the maximum 8 or 9 guests. There was 7 of us (4 adults, 3 toddlers), and we had to wait around a lot for each other to use the bathroom / shower. Otherwise, we had a great stay and highly recommend others consider this cabin!

Would definitely stay again
Perfect amount of space for my family. The area was beautiful, clean, and quiet. Plenty to do for the kids right in the park area. The only complaint we all had was the shower is quite small. Definitely had a great time, and would stay again.

Fantastic Family Getaway!
Perfect cabin: clean, well stocked, easy and convenient check-in/out, cozy, family friendly, relaxing. Sycamore Springs Park is clean, family friendly, well marked, well kept, awesome playgrounds. Convenient location to Marengo Cave, Indiana Caverns, and Squire Boone Caves.

We really loved the place. The only problem was that the heat was not good. It was really cold in the cabin. we stayed wrapped up in a blanket most of the time. Need to work on the heat if you are going to rent it out in fall and winter. Other than that the place was gorgeous. The cabin is beautiful and so was the property. We will be back

Great area for a family vacation
Cabin was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The park was quiet and we loved the security. Attendants were very helpful and friendly. We visited Indiana cavern, took a nature cruise on Lake Patoka, hiked at Hoosier National forest, searched for fossils at Falls of the Ohio State Park, took a sunset cruise on the Belle of Louisville, did the 4 mile hike through Mammoth Cave and had a successful Geode hunt. Loved the people the most! Friendly and genuine! Great vacation for a family of six.

Perfect for kids, super clean cabin
We had a great trip. The cabin itself was even better than I had expected from the photos. It has all the charm of an older cabin but has been immaculately maintained. Even some of the furniture that was “old fashioned” looked like it was built yesterday. We brought our two year old twins- the endless play grounds and the village was perfect for them. Our trip bled into the week so when the park emptied of weekend campers it felt much more secluded and peaceful. If you have kids and are looking for a weekend get away, dollar for dollar I don’t think you can beat what this place has to offer.

Family that vacations together,stays together!!
It was absolutely beautiful! beds were comfortable and pillows too! Loved the seating on front porch and the flowers were a special touch.The inside decor made you feel at home. Had everything we needed. If I had to make suggestions for improvements.. the bathroom door was hard to latch and did not lock. People exploring the park weren't quite sure what was back our road so there were alot of people turning around in the driveway, if they knew to turn around before the bridge, it was a little hard to get turned around with 4 in the driveway. Access to the creek on the side of cabin would've been a plus too. The good definitely outweighed the bad. We plan on making this a yearly trip. Thank you for allowing us to make beautiful memories we will cherish forever!

Wonderful little cabin with many amenities in a perfect park setting!
Our family had a wonderful time in this cabin. It’s a little small for 8 people… but it was cozy, had everything to keep it restful and fun, and the peaceful park setting was amazing. We booked it instead of a tent site because of the forecasted rain- and it was a very enjoyable trip. The huge porch was perfect for enjoying the rain. The upstairs of the cabin has most of the sleeping area (besides the master bedroom in main level). It worked well for us, but would be tricky with very little ones (under 3), because the stairs are pretty steep. You might want to plan to bring a travel crib and let the baby stay on the main level for littlest ones. The cabin is right next to a small river, but it’s set far enough away that we could still enjoy and keep an eye on our littlest kiddo safely. The park has much to be enjoyed… the cabin is a bit separated from it, which allows for quiet. However, it’s close enough that our older kids rode their bikes over the bridge to the main section of the park (we could see them from the porch for much of it). The park had many playgrounds to choose from, hiking trails, a playhouse village, and a bike trail that we enjoyed between the raindrops. There is a little JayC grocery store about 7-10 minutes away in the town- it had about everything a family might want for a cabin trip. We carted most of our food with us this time, but I think I would just go to the local grocery next time. There were a few thing ‘missing’ or not working at the cabin (because it was a new rental!), but the staff were kind and took care of those things very quickly for us. The cabin was well-stocked with most anything you might need for such a trip- including a DVD player and some movies which was a nice surprise for the rainy nights. We’re already looking into coming again!

So beautiful
We loved it so much we can't wait to come back everyone is so nice in the office, kids had a great time here and the cabin is beautiful and very clean. Can't wait to come back. The only thing we didn't care about is people having a treasure hunt and walking all over the area we rented. And also coming back with people looking into our windows even in the morning with our cars there. Otherwise it was pieceful. Little scary coming across bridge with people fishing they wouldn't come off bridge to let us cross to the cabin but climbed on the rail of bridge to get out of our way. Signs need to be posted before someone gets hurt Bit I highly say to rent this cabin. It's worth every bit of money spent. Just need a little more privacy from the others for the price didn't make us feel to good. Thank you so much we still love it
