”We enjoyed staying at Grandpa's cabin! We spent Christmas here and it was the perfect White Christmas. The views are amazing and to wake up in the mornings to these views were breathtaking. The house was the perfect size for us and will definitely book again ! ”

”Rented this cabin for a girls snow trip; this was our first time in Colorado (from the South). It’s about an 1.15 hrs away from Denver and 20 minutes from Black Hawk which had many restaurants and casinos. The roads driving to the house wear clear of snow and fairly easy to navigate. You will need a AWD car to navigate these areas during the winter. The cabin has spacious rooms and is very clean. I appreciated the two full bathrooms. Clara the host was responsive and attentive to our inquiries. ”

”The cabin is in a perfect position to ski at monarch mountain and still make a trip into salida if you want to without much travel time. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very roomy with everything you’d need. Overall it was the perfect place for my friends and I to stay for our ski trip! Would stay again if given the opportunity.”

”It's hard to imagine that this jewel is just barely off the highway. You really feel much further back into the mountains. The views are spectacular! The hidden porch, which we didn't know anything about before arriving, was awesome. Another spot to enjoy the views from. Late September was an ideal time to enjoy the color changes all around. If in Ouray, or even close, I would definitely opt to stay at this cabin! I shouldn't be telling anyone about it! Must hoard for myself. Kidding. ...

”We had a wonderful stay at the White Ridge Lodge. The cabin is really beautiful, spacious and well equipped for families. There are plenty of games, art supplies, puzzles and of course loads of outside fun. The internet is also reliable and there are movies and old school Nitendo games, but we prefer to be 'offline' on vacation and the location really allows you to immerse yourself in nature. We were snowed in one day and the kids built a snow ramp for sleds and skiing right off the driveway. We...

”Always excited to return to the Post Office Ranch! We have stayed in this cabin for many years. The views are amazing. The cabin is comfortable and well supplied. Communication with the property manager is excellent. ”

One suggestion, leave some notes about how to work the TV. It seemed to require apps being downloaded in advance for it to work, but there were no instructions in the cabin. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. ”

Outside of the master bedroom is a stream you can hear at night while sleeping. We had everything we needed and our kids are already asking to stay there again for future ski trips to Monarch.
