”Excellent location for walking in the colonial zone. Beautiful historical building. It’s a sight by itself. I would not stay elsewhere. Negative: WiFi stopped working in my room. I used the next room’s WiFi as the password was easy to guess. They did not repair my WiFi despite me reporting it. There is a separate WiFi on hotel premises (not in the room) and it worked fine. ”Spent 2 nights here in January, I was very satisfied with this hotel. Located in Zona Colonial this is good base for exploring and walking there. Both the area and hotel felt safe. ”José made our stay more comfortable, as we asked to change rooms since our original room had some mold and I was having a hard time sleeping. Jose accommodated us to a different room and I slept great. It’s a really old building (like 300+ years old) so it was not surprising that there was some moisture, since Santo Domingo is so humid. The Beaterio has a fascinating history and is quite peaceful and quiet. ”
