”It’s good to remember this is a castle for several reasons. The first being the heating system is antiquated. Second, wi-fi has dead spots and does not necessarily work in your room. Third, the castle caters to groups/weddings and some get quite loud. They are celebrating. With these things in mind it was a nice stay. ”

The restaurant accommodated our dietary needs (though if would have been nice to not have to wait - perhaps a sign saying non-dairy and vegan options were available on request would help). Our mattress seemed quite old and lumpy, but other than that, the stay was excellent. ”

There is a lovely view from the upper level restaurant and the location itself is very handy for both the main town and a leisurely river walk.
