”Hi my husband and I just got back from staying at The Hideaway hotel in Windermere. The hotel itself is a charming building with lots of character. Plenty of room for parking. ”Modern upto date decor. Very clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. The only gripe was that I used the 'contact the hotel' on Hotels.com app asking whether we could park the car in the morning before 3pm check in. No reply received. I sent a second message. No reply. I filled in an on line check in, including car registration number but still had to do the same form again at the hotel”

”Not sure if it was due to understaffing but the young lady welcoming us was kind and efficient but not very friendly. We ordered wine at the start of our dinner and did not receive it until our main course ( drank water with our appetizers). We were the only ones in the dinning room between 6 and 7 so not sure what happened. We also were charged for two beers after we had checked out…. We had to call to find out what the charge was, maybe we could of been notified at check out that you forgot...

”Lovely coay B&B. Decor is modern but in theme with the lake district. Lots of little home comforts included. The owners are very friendly and cant do enough for you. ”A wonderful stay at this charming guest house. Our hosts Rich and Ada were very welcoming and gave us recommendations on places to eat and walks to enjoy in the local area. We had a tastefully decorated small double room which was spotless and although compact very comfortable with everything we needed including a mini fridge.
