Welcome to The Discovery Bay Lookout

Our spacious 1,800-square-foot cabin features two comfortable bedrooms, a cozy sleeping nook with bunk beds, two bathrooms, and expansive living and dining areas. The full kitchen and game room provide everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay. Every room is framed by breathtaking views of Discovery Bay, the surrounding mountains, and stunning sunsets.

Step outside and immerse yourself in nature's beauty. Relax in the jetted hot tub or rejuvenate in the cedar barrel sauna, both perfectly positioned to overlook the bay. From May to September, take advantage of kayaks to explore the pristine waters or gather around the fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars. As our guest, you'll have exclusive access to your own private pebble beach, reachable via a scenic trail through an old-growth ravine. We loved our time at the house. The view were beautiful and there were so many cute touches from the host. We weren’t able to check in right at 4 as the cleaners will still there but other then that it was a great experience.

Perfect Home to enjoy Port Townsend
My husband and I spent 3 nights in Port Townsend and were thrilled with the house. It was clean, comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and so many extras! The host thought of everything. There were binoculars to enjoy incredible views of the water and helped us spot bald eagles & seals. The fireplace, sauna, hot tub and game room all added extra fun and relaxation to our stay. We can’t wait to book again.

Beautiful setting! We spent most of our time at the kitchen table visiting, playing cards, sipping wine while enjoying the breathtaking view. The home was equipped with any essential one might have needed, but forgot to pack. The comfort of the home made for a most relaxing weekend.

Perfect Retreat during Thing Weekend
Our group really enjoyed hanging out in the dining room for breakfast in the morning and late evening during our getaway. We loved the kayaks (but good idea to get out early before the waters get rough). One friend swam in Discovery Bay, braving the chilly waters. The hot tub was a great way to warm up after our on-water adventures. Super lovely!

All you need...
Found this property while looking for a place to stay while visiting a family member. Saw the game room and views and was SOLD! Very spacious and comfortable house with all of the amenities for young and old. The kids LOVED the book selection, the game room, the beach and the ROKU selection. Us adults loved the open space, the views and the many ways to keep the kids entertained and out of our hair! The house itself is very tidy with everything you need for cooking, eating and just hanging out in general. Temperature controls are obvious and easy to manage. And, the beds and bedding were quite lovely! Definitely an A+ rental to be visited again!

A wonderful getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Discovery Bay Lookout! It’s clear a lot of care and thought went into the details of this house. The decor was so cozy and stylish and the kitchen had all the tools and appliances we have at home. Beds and furniture were comfy and the kids loved the game room. Bathrooms were clean and serviceable. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the fireplace which was so nice after spending the day outside. The cabin was perfect for our family, but the real star was the location and that VIEW! You really can’t get a sense of it from the photos but the views are simply stellar. We spent a lot of time looking out over the water from the deck or the massive living room window seat. We saw lots of wildlife, including sea lions and bald eagles. The owner told us to come back in the spring and we might see orcas or humpbacks passing through the bay! The weather was a bit chilly, but we did manage to get down to the beach a couple of times. It’s very private and great beach combing. Be sure to check the tide schedule and go at low tide. The cabin is a 10 minute drive to Port Townsend, an extremely charming Victorian seaport with lots of great shopping and restaurants. We were also a short drive to some fantastic hiking spots and spent a day visiting the Olympic National Park and Sol Duc Hot Springs. This was a memorable trip for our family and we will definitely back. Thanks to the property hosts, who were so friendly and had great tips for the areas!
